Jersey Warren has had it good for most of her life, until her father does the unthinkable, betraying the whole family. She has no interest in dating anyone who may disrupt her easy going and detached life, until she meets the sexy, ambitious, and clever Kantwan Camren. Kantwan is a no nonsense guy, and refuses to be with a woman who will cower when met with true love or hardwork. Will Cheyla be able to mature into the woman Kantwan needs? Or will she continue to live life as a disconnected and afraid little girl, causing her to lose out on the man of every girl's dreams?
Ivy Horne, hasn't had it easy for the past few years. With her child's father being thrown in jail for reckless petty robberies, she is forced to make sure her son has everything he needs. In order to put food into her son Donovan's mouth, she joins best friends Jersey and Cheyla, by dancing every night for cash. Her plan is to focus on making money, while looking for a new job to obtain before her man Portland comes home. In addition to that, there are no ifs, ands, or buts about her being faithful to Portland while put away. That all changes upon meeting the intelligent, handsome, and aggressive Elijah Camren, who tries to show Ivy that she is way too good to hold a man down that has been so disloyal to her in the past. When Ivy falls for Elijah's charm, just a teeny bit, she is stuck with having feelings for him even when Portland returns. Will she dibble and dabble like Jersey? Or will fate have to pick for her as well?

Great job with this story Shvonne. I enjoyed this story line. I loved Jersey. She had a good life in the beginning but when her father made a choice that would affect everyone things changed and she had to make a choice in order to have a good life. Cheyla had moments where I wished I could knock some sense into her confused butt. Lol. She had her moments a lot. I felt for poor Ivy. Here she was doing what she felt she had to in order to provide for her child yet she still gets hurt by the one person who was supposed to love her and have gotten his act together. I loved Kill, Kantwan, and Elijah. Those three were something else. Neither of them treated women disrespectfully! Kantwan was a sweetheart. Kill was something else. He had eyes for one person and eventually he went for her. They actually are cute together. Of course they had to deal with a jealous individual. Elijah knew who he wanted and was willing to wait until she was out of her situation. He didn't mind chilling with her and her child. He was a good dude. Portland made me so mad. He is trifling for how he did Ivy. Now that Tommy. Smh. That man was too dirty for me. I was so glad Jersey never went there with him. So looking forward to book two.Product details

I am long overdue for another good story by Shvonne and as usual she hasn't disappointed me. This story just got better and better as I turned each page. I can't wait to see what's going to happen next.
I'm so glad Jersey and kill got it together. And kant is perfect for Cheyla. Glad she finally came to her senses and got her man. Poor Ivy, she loves a man who doesn't give a darn about her. Glad she has Eli to hold her down. I can't believe Jersey's mom finally snapped.
It was a god read and I would recommend it if you enjoy a good hood romance story.
This was another great read Shvonne. Jeremy's dad was a hot mess. That man had a lot of nerve. And let's not forget Portland. He ran me hot under the collar. Tommy was just plain crazy. Glad he got dealt with. Wanting to see how Sonny and Raleigh's relationship pan out. This a highly recommended read.
Shvonne never disappoints!!! This book was really good and held my attention. Tommy got on my last nerve and I was glad to see him go.I was glad to see Cheyla come to her senses and go get her man! I hope Ivy sticks to her word and is really done with Portland cause I don't like him either lol. I hope nothing happens to the baby cause Shvonne definitely play to much with that ending lol!
This story of the three friends being dealt a difficult life and they make altering lifestyles changes to survive. The friends are dealt with ugly side of street life. The friends meet three men that will change their lives forever. This is amazing story of love and survival among the finest. This is a phenomenal story and highly recommended.
Shvonne Latrice know how to write a story that will hold your attention from beginning to end. I enjoyed reading about Kilexis and Jersey, Cheyla and Kantwan , Elijah and Ivy. Now that the background of the main characters has been established in this installment along with the drama that's going on in the life of the couple's I can't wait to see the real action and drama to begin once Ivy Baby Daddy find out who she is with now and how that going to effect Jersey and Kilexis relationship. I can't wait to see if Kilexis and Kantwan brother Ka'Shea will be getting out of jail and if he will be joining his brothers and cousin in running Alex empire. And I'm wondering will I get to find out how Alex sons feel about Kilexis taking over their father empire. Also hope to see what's going to happen to Jersey Mother and just what happen that day she was arrested. Can't wait to start reading part 2 so that I can get my answers.
